dinner with abbey & mark

adam and i caught up with abbey and mark before they left for their holiday to england and the maldives. we both love the meat & wine co so we went there for dinner again.

adam's grandma came up to sydney again for a week so we took her out for breakfast to one of our favourite places bathers at balmoral beach. it wasn't the best weather but hey what can you expect in the middle of winter.

i offered to have poppy and heidi sleep over one night so kim and carl could have a night out and a sleep in the next morning. both the girls were so good and we even woke up before them in the morning.

our time in sydney was fast nearing to an end and there were still so many things on our bucket list. adam had contracts to run around between solicitors in the city which i helped with and then we drove up to the northern beaches to mark off one of the things on our bucket list, the northern beaches. we had lunch at the boathouse in palm beach which was so different. we loved it there and then drove around looking at all the amazing houses and little shops.

for our wedding adam's mum and jon gave us cooking classes called 'talk, eat, drink' (3 of my favourite things to do) at simon johnson. damien pignolet was the chef who taught the class and although the food was a little more fancy than what we were used to we still ate most of it.

james blunt concert

adam's face says it all - he was less than impressed to be at the james blunt concert but to me it just shows how much he loves me to go along. this was the second concert of his i'd dragged him along to, we went to one of his perth concerts a few years ago and i loved it. we'd been to the state theatre once before to see a movie with friends during sydney film festival but this was the first concert we'd seen at the state and i love the architecture in this building, amazing.

adam's 27th birthday

i had a 10 hour work day on adam's actual birthday (thursday 26th may) so i woke him up early to give him his presents. i bought him a shirt, ted baker cufflinks that were little balloon dogs (super cute and very adam) a tee shirt and some american crew hair stuff. mum and dad sent over a voucher for one of his favourite shops jb hifi, dym and cruz sent the funniest card dym had made (i love her imagination) she printed the hangover 2 movie cover and added adam's, michael's, kaan's & dane's faces over the characters, a picture from cruz & a gold class movie voucher. adam's mum bought him a vacola dehydrator machine to make dried fruit etc in (which was more a present for me :) and he got lot's of other cards and bits and pieces.

we went out for dinner to bianco with the karaoglu's to celebrate bron and adam's birthdays. i had felt a little sick during the day but didn't think much of it but suddenly half way through my meal i started feeling really sick and couldn't look at anyones food. i had only had one drink and couldn't eat the rest of my meal so we pretty much headed straight home, luckily adam had a plastic bag in the car so i sat curled up in a ball the whole way home with my head in the bag. i just made it out the car in the car park and was sick everywhere. next time i get a bug i hope i'm not sitting in a really nice restaurant.
