we went to the zoo with the owens family and took cruz with dym. it was a fun day but a hot one so we were exhausted by the end of it.

cruz loves his uncle adam, he loves when he puts him on his shoulders and goofs around with him.

on christmas eve eve we took the train (cruz's favourite) into the city with dym and cruz to visit santa for his photo. we did the same last year so plan to carry on the tradition in the years to come. i can't wait for the day we have our own baby to take to see santa for those precious photos, they melt my heart.

christmas card photo

trying to get any 5 year old to sit still for more than 1 second to snap a photo is near impossible, especially this 5 year old. it took a lot of bribing and perseverance to get cruz to smile for a christmas card photo but sometimes the most candid are my favourites and capture his funny nature. here are 4 of my favourites i took.

cruz last day at daycare

cruz had his last day of day care in december as he starts full time school next year. i went to drop him off with dym on his last day which was also the annual christmas party at day care. cruz loved being the centre of attention in his little elf outfit.

crafty cruz

cruz loves to paint. after he discovered all my paints i decided to go and buy him his own little selection he can create with when he comes over. this was just before christmas so i bought him a tub of foam christmas shapes he could stick on paper, some cardboard christmas shapes that were ornaments and some christmas cards to paint. he loved everything and we had a morning full of painting and decorating.

the wiggles

dym and i took cruz to see the wiggles at one of their perth shows. cruz absolutely loved it and danced and sang along the whole concert. after the concert we went home to mum and dad's and all had take away pizza there for dinner.
