growers market

this was the last growers market we went to, how i miss them. the stall of bacon & egg burgers and sausages in rolls with onions were especially my favourite. the guy who sold them knew me from going each month and one month the line was so long he called me out and handed me my burger, that's what i call service.

we lived in an utter mess for a good 4 weeks before we moved, we had boxes, tape, bubble wrap and butcher paper every where!

michael came over during the week to visit. i cooked garlic prawns and chicken fried rice for dinner and we watched some of the wedding dvd.

we packed in one last day of sightseeing and marked off the blue mountains on our bucket list. it was freezing there!

we had a late lunch at a cool little place called leura garage before driving back to sydney.

canberra & more packing

adam and i were going to drive down to canberra after his last home open on saturday 9th july for his oma's 70th birthday lunch on the sunday. we had so much packing to do so i decided to stay in sydney and get some packing done whilst adam went. whilst he was at his home opens i walked down to the fish market and bought fresh prawns to make prawn rolls for our lunch. and got some salmon for my dinner. i also made adam a little snack box for the drive down.

the fire alarm started going off in our apartment building, trust that to happen when i'm in my pyjamas and no adam.

on the thursday night mum was flying into sydney we went to have dinner with bron and kaan before picking her up from the airport. we went to a very cool retro style diner called jazz city diner after all the sugar from countless sodas we were all on a complete sugar high. fun night as always with these two.

our last week in sydney
i hadn't seen my mum for 4 months, not the longest we have been apart but i still missed her more than ever. she came over to spend our last week in sydney with us and help us pack. the most amazing woman is my mum, she's one in a million.

after doing an all nighter of no sleep i was feeling less than average. it makes me feel sick thinking of all the red bulls i drank to get through but it had to be done. i was still taping up boxes as the removalists arrived. never ever moving long distance again...ever.

thursday 21st july

it poured on our whole last day in sydney, on memory there was over 85mm of rain, i'd never seen rain like it ever before. mum, adam and i went into the city for a day of shopping and lunch. adam wanted to get a new suit before we went home so he got a really nice navy blue hugo boss one. we then stopped past abbey's to say goodbye before going over to kim and carl's to see them too. we were going to go out for dinner but the rain was so heavy we decided to stay in and order made in italy take away for the last time.

i cried and cried and cried! after another all night of no sleep from finishing off things in the apartment i was exhausted. it was pouring with rain still so adam got graham who he worked with to come and pick us up with a massively heavy box and bags of all things we didn't have room in our cases for to head down to the post office to post them back home. we left the post office about 20 minutes before we had to be back at the apartment to leave for the airport. talk about stress!

home is where the heart is. it was so nice to be home and be with everyone minus cruz as he was at damian's for the weekend. dad picked us up from the airport and dym had told us she was going out and wouldn't be able to see us until the next day. what a surprise when we walked in and she was there. no only that she had prepared the most amazing dinner for us. her and dad had gone to kailis and the goodie shop and picked up all our favourite things to eat. it couldn't of been better. i was a bit of an emotional mess after no sleep again for nearly 2 days and couldn't stop crying, i was sad we'd left sydney and i knew it was going to take awhile to settle in back at home but i was so happy to be home as well.
